Over/Under, explained
Over/Under is the one digit contract where you choose your own win rate. Pick a barrier digit, bet the last digit lands above it (Over) or below it (Under), and the further you push the barrier toward the edge, the more often you win. The catch is what happens to the edge while you do that.
How it works
Pick a barrier from 0–9. Over 1 wins whenever the last digit is 2 through 9 — eight outcomes out of ten. Under 8 wins on 0 through 7 — the same eight outcomes, framed the other way. Move the barrier toward the middle and the win rate drops toward 50/50; move it toward the edge and the win rate climbs.
The barrier trade-off, with real numbers
| Barrier | Win probability | Typical payout | Cost to you |
|---|---|---|---|
| Over 1 / Under 8 | 80% | 1.19 | 4.8% |
| Over 2 / Under 7 | 70% | 1.36 | 4.8% |
| Over 3 / Under 6 | 60% | 1.58 | 5.2% |
Read that last column again: the edge does not shrink as the win rate falls toward 50/50 — it gets slightly worse, from 4.8% to 5.2%. A higher win rate here isn't costing you more for the privilege; if anything it's marginally cheaper. What you're actually paying for is certainty — smaller, more frequent wins instead of a coin-flip outcome — not a better long-run result. Every digit contract compared →
A high win rate is not an edge. Over 1 wins 80% of the time and still costs 4.8%, the same family of cost as contracts that win half as often. The win rate changes how the losses feel, not whether they happen.
Which staking strategies suit it
The high win rate at a tight barrier (Over 1, Over 2) suits streak strategies that want frequent wins to climb on, like Reverse D'Alembert — a losing trade is the exception, not the routine, so the strategy spends most of its time climbing rather than recovering. All four Pro AI bots trade Over/Under for exactly this reason. Pushed toward 50/50, it behaves more like Rise/Fall and suits the same strategies that do.
